A website runs some of Mr. Sneyd's Playboy cartoons, and I was inspired to buy a copy of his out of print collection of Playboy cartoons. That was a very funny collection, and when I saw this one I decided to buy a copy before it too goes out of print. I'm glad I did.Definitely worth the money, even though these are the rejects from Playboy. The published cartoons in the other collection are better, but the humor in this collection is broader, even as the illustrations are not the finished, high quality cartoons as published in the magazine.This book is a nice way to spend a relaxing hour or two in the evening, although it is definitely R rated for nudity, and is not suitable for children. That's my only caveat on this.If you enjoy or collect cartoons, this unpublished collection of Sneyd is a great addition to your library.This is a little larger than a pocket sized paperback. This little book is packed with gesture drawing and rough ideas with the balance of color and composition. A great tool for anyone in the arts. It is 1 of those surprise purchases that I am happy to own - - wonderfully designed!Good to see more by Sneyd, even if unfinishedGreat book. By a fantastic artist!I’ve taken up cartooning during the plague. That’s led me to look harder at how others do it. I’m not familiar with his ‘finished’ works - seen one or two, they’re technically far more polished than I’ll ever be. To see the drafting process is fascinating though. It’s also an interesting window into gender and sexuality in the olden days.Doug Sneyd es uno de los mejores cartonistas de la revista del conejo, me gustan mucho sus ilustraciones y bocetos. Sus mujeres son hermosas, tiene buen trazo, maneja muy bien la acuarela y delineado. Sneyd es una gran referencia para la gente que nos gusta el dibujo tradicional y la ilustración femenina. Sin duda es una buena compra este libro, aunque me hubiese gustado que fuese más grande el libro porque tiene buena calidad de impresión y empastado, sin embargo, me va servir machismo como referencia para mis dibujos femeninos que dibujo diariamente. Ojala Dark Horse vuelva a lanzar un libro de Sneyd u otros artistas de la revista del conejo como Erich Sokol, Dink Siegel o Bill Wenzel.Libro de los bocetos y desarrollo de ideas previas, interesante para complementar tu colección.
